Co-ordinates the cystic fibrosis unit activity.  In close liaison with the CF medical team provides telephone support and advice to families around CF symptom management e.g. changing respiratory/abdominal symptoms associated with theProvides a link between the CF Team and the ward staff when caring for inpatients with cystic fibrosis.  Provides education and support for both nursing colleagues and patients and familiesProvides community support for children with cystic fibrosis.  This includes symptom assessment and monitoring, cystic fibrosis education and support, support around the time of diagnosis, and teaching and support for the home intravenous antibiotic programmeBoth formal and informal education to allied health professionals around the care of children with cystic fibrosis e.g. education, social services and Primary and secondary care.
