Dragonet
In the British Isles, traveling troupes of mummers turned up on the doorstep for holiday celebrations, supposedly bringing luck. In a similar tradition throughout Asia, traveling performers presented folk tales at community centers and public gathering spots. These performances were thought sometimes to be healing situations and many of the puppet and clown show performers were also available as fortunetellers .Some were actually Buddhist monks of the “Red Hat” sect or Sufis operating free lance.
