Cayak
Ford has spent much of the past year training in Australia and competing
in Europe as that’s where most of the artificial whitewater kayak
facilities have been built. While he’s been based in Chilliwack and
trained extensively on the Chilliwack River and Tamahi Rapids, Friesen
says much of Ford’s recent training has been on the international,
man-made circuit. The Olympic kayak events are taking place at the
Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park, where Ford has also practised
extensively this past year.
