Crocodile Shark

Crocodile Shark

First of all, I applaud the bravery demonstrated by these teenagers, and the positivity. I do believe that events in our lives occasionally happen for reasons that aren’t immediately revealed. But I find it a bit disturbing that these kids don’t even concede a little bit that losing your arm sucks. How can losing your arm not suck? It’s your arm. I’m not sure if these kids simply put on the smiley face because the cameras are rolling, or if remaining so positive is a psychological defense mechanism  to cope with losing the limb. But maybe other teenagers would be better served by seeing a bit of the sadness as well. Maybe seeing some pain will prevent other 17-year-old kids from swimming in an area notoriously crawling with crocs.
