I finished my internship and graduated from UC with an Education Specialist degree in school psychology (I’d left the doctoral program after my first year). I was on my own again, newly single. I landed a job as a school psychologist and moved into a comfortable apartment near my work, ready to be my own woman and make a fresh start. It took me less than six months to start searching for a way out.
