credibility. These girls will not only have to come to terms with the
realization that their father is a monster, but they were also the
victims of incest. In a way, Kersten Fritzl, who was probably similarly
raped by her father/grandfather, might be able to cope better. At least
Kersten accepted that Joseph was a monster her entire life, and has no
emotional ties to him. And while Elizabeth's ordeal was much worse than
Jaycee's, her own realization that Joseph was a monster broke all bonds
she might have had with him, no doubt helping her to open up to a
relationship with a man less than 6 months later.
