Personalized candy is a new development on an age old treat that has
existed for hundreds of centuries. Fast-forwarding from the first Mayan
who revealed chocolate beverages to the first candy bar molded in 1847,
(over 15 centuries later) our present day sweets variety have come a
long way in a short time. The discovery of the sugar beet made candy
what it is today- in medieval times, candy was a coveted treat only for

pharmacies. Sweets have journeyed a long way since the Mayans- the
personalized candy of today would be irreplaceable to a 1400′s era
emperor if he could look down and see his imperial face printed on a
random treat.
