Flutter Valve
A Flutter Valve aids in breathing and removal of mucus from around the lungs and is a type of PEP therapy.
The Flutter works by vibrating the airways to free mucous blocking
them, opening the airways during exhalation, and causing the patient to
cough to remove the mucous. It is an airway clearance technique which
allows patients to help themselves.People with asthma and COPD,
also those with cystic fibrosis, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, and
atelectasis will find this device helpful. The patient uses the device
after having taken respiratory medicine or having used a bronchodilator.
