Cff Great Strides
Amanda is a junior at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI
majoring in Chemistry and a member of the Honors College. Amanda
plans to earn a PhD in either pharmaceutical sciences or chemistry and
become a research scientist. This summer she presented her
undergraduate chemistry research to the National American Chemical
Society Conference in Philadelphia. This is Amanda’s third ENF
scholarship award. She remains active in community service and
volunteers through the EMU community service program. Her areas of
service include the Salvation Army, fundraising for Breast Cancer and
Cystic Fibrosis, and working with local food banks. Amanda is a
participant in CF clinical trials aimed at developing improved medicines,
treatments and ultimately a cure
